The students have big blocks of time each day for opportunity to explore the many centres around the classroom. For the first few weeks, their choices are very open as the educators circulate to talk with students about their play, engage in the activities with them and observe the children's unique interests. This gives us a chance to connect with each child and leads us to better instruct according to their particular needs. Watching the students' excitement over playing with dinosaurs lead to our first inquiry project in September.
